The Porsche 911 GT2 RS (992.2 generation) is the impending “King of the 911s,” designed to be the most powerful and track-capable road-legal car ever produced by Zuffenhausen. Expected to debut in late 2025 or early 2026, it transitions the flagship into the era of performance electrification.

Performance & Hybridized Heart

• The Engine: It features a heavily reworked 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine. Unlike its predecessors, this model is expected to adopt a 400V mild-hybrid system—technology directly derived from Porsche’s 963 LMDh endurance racer.

• Total Output: While the previous 991-gen produced 700 hp, the new GT2 RS is rumored to deliver between 750 hp and over 800 hp.

• Acceleration: With the instant torque of the electric motor, it is projected to hit 0–100 km/h in under 2.7 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 340 km/h.

• Drivetrain: True to the GT2 lineage, it remains Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD), paired with a specialized 8-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission to handle the massive torque.
