The Ferrari 296 GTB is a landmark model for Maranello, representing the first “real” Ferrari road car to feature a mid-mounted V6 engine. It is a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) designed with a focus on “Fun to Drive,” combining compact dimensions with class-leading power-to-weight ratios.

Performance & “Little V12” Powertrain

• The Engine: A 3.0-liter 120° twin-turbo V6—often nicknamed the “piccolo V12” (little V12) because of its high-pitched, harmonious exhaust note. The turbos are located inside the “V” (Hot V configuration) for better packaging and throttle response.

• Hybrid System: The V6 is paired with a rear-mounted electric motor (MGU-K) and a 7.45 kWh battery.

• Total Output: It delivers a combined 819 hp (830 cv), launching the car from 0–100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and 0–200 km/h in just 7.3 seconds.
